Damanjodi Hanuman Statue

Abhaya Anjaneya Hanuman Temple is located inside Damanjodi NALCO Township in Koraput District of South Odisha, hence this temple is known as Damanjodi Hanuman Temple and the specialty of this temple is the statue of Lord Hanuman ji which is 33.19 (108.5 ft) in height which is counted among the tallest Hanuman statues in the world and is considered to be the tallest Hanuman statue in Odisha.

In the year 2017, the statue of Hanuman ji was inaugurated by the members of NALCO and Abhaya Anjaneya temple and inside this Hanuman ji temple there is an Ashtadhatu statue which we visited.

Friends, this was a small story of the temple which I came to know after visiting it. Now in this blog, I will tell you about my tour experience and how to go to this place, which will help in your tour planning.

Damanjodi Hanuman Temple Tour Experience

Friends, my Koraput tour was for 3 days, so after doing Deomali hills tour on the second day, there was a plan to go to see the Damanjodi Hanuman statue and we followed the same plan. When we reached Damanjodi Hanuman temple at 6pm, it was dark by this time. So had to see the statue of Hanuman ji in low light but had darshan of Ashtadhatu Hanuman ji inside the temple and at that time Aarti was going on so we participated in the Aarti of the Lord and after doing some photography, ended the second day. Friends, I have an advice to you that you should go to this place during the day because there is a complete garden around the temple and you will get to see the hill view and your photos will look better at this time.

How to reach Damanjodi Hanuman Statue?

Damanjodi hanuman temple is 26.5 km far from Koraput city and 48 km far from Jeypore city, so both cities well connected other major cities of Odisha and most tourist preferred to stay these cities so they directly visit this place through booking the tourist cab but another also available that is train, so Damanjodi also have own railway station and that is well connected to major cities of Odisha and you can travel 6 km from Damanjodi railway station to reach hanuman temple easily.
