Sayaji Baug (Kamati Baug)

Sayaji Baug is the biggest Garden in Vadodara city, and its name is dedicated to Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. It is located near Vishwamitri River and is only 2km away from Vadodara railway station and bus stop.The Sayaji Baug has famous tourist attractions like a zoo, a planetarium, two museums, and a flower clock. The toy train facility gives you the best option for you to explore the park with your family. Timing of the park is  05:00 am - 08:00 pm and entry fee is zero and this is the best place for couple photography in Vadodara city, so you must visit if you are interested in capturing the moment with your special one.

Sursagar lake is the best waterside tourist destination in Vadodara, and it's located in the center of the city and also known as Chand Talao. It has a beautiful big lord Shiva statue in the middle of the lake installed by Municipal corporation Vadodara and surrounded by thrum of commerce.Why are people called Sursagar? Because it was built by Shri Sureshwar Desai. You can also visit famous temples situated near Sursagar that are Akkalkot Swami Maharaj Mandir and Hanuman Mandir. Laxmi Vilas Palace

Laxmi Vilas Palace is the beautiful tourist destination in Vadodara city, constructed in 1890 by the Gaekwad family, and its residence of MahaRaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III who ruled Baroda state. This palace is built in Indo-Saracenic architecture and is a mixture of  Hindu, Mughal and Gothic architecture. If you are a history lover then this place is the best destination for you because here you will find historical things like palace architecture design , and the living style of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III etc. Palace management provides the audio guide for tourist attractions and you will also find a big compound, cricket and golf ground etc. Entry fees are 250 per person and photography is not allowed inside the palace, and timing is Tuesday to Sunday Open between 9.30 am to 5.30 pm( Lunch time 1 pm to 1.30pm and Monday closed). As per our suggestion, you must visit this palace once in your life if you visit Vadodara city.

 

Sindhrot Check Dam

Sindhrot check dam is not a very famous tourist destination but it is known as an adventure tourist place in Vadodara city. This check dam is located in Sindhrot and on the bank of Mahi river. This place is 14km far from Vadodara main city and you need 2-3 hours in your hand to visit this tourist spot. You can reach here using 2 or 4 wheelers but as per our suggestion 2 wheeler is the best option because the parking area is too small. Summer and rainy seasons are the best time to visit here and its known as the best weekend tourist destination in Vadodara city.
